Attic Insulation Rebate

Up to $500 for attic insulation.

Homeowners can get a $500 rebate from Charlottesville Gas when they upgrade their attic insulation. This can be combined with other incentives, such as a federal tax credit, for even more savings. Contact us to find out more.

Eligibility requirements are: 

1. Must own an existing single-family home (no new construction or garages)
   
2. Must be a City of Charlottesville resident or Charlottesville Gas customer in Albemarle County
   
3. Must heat your home with natural gas
   
4. Attic insulation must be installed by a licensed contractor between Feb 10 and Dec 31, 2025. (Installations between July 1, 2020-Feb 9, 2025, qualify for a $300 rebate)
   
5. Documentation required: Invoice from a licensed contractor, itemized cost, and completed rebate form.
